Of course you want to be the best parent version of yourself, but where do you begin?!

Truth? (What else do we have time for?)

Managing tantrums sucks.

Especially if you don't know what to do, right?! If you’re like most parents I work with, you got into this parenting thing to have a strong, loving connection with your child

...not to spend all day dealing with screaming and “NO!”

The reality is this:

Whether you’re parenting a toddler, a preschooler, or a whole house full of second-graders,

Children CANNOT manage their own behavior!

Think about it! You don't expect your 3-year-old to be able to calmly and articulately tell you what they want even when they're just chillin' in the playroom, do you? NO! Of course not!

So why do you expect them to be able to do it when they're upset?

You’re setting yourself up for a lifetime of defiance, sassiness, and attitude from your child.

I mean... has what you’re doing worked so far? If you’re like most who start working with me, it’s a “no.”

News flash: it didn't work for me, either. Of course I have been there too...

If I'm new to you: Hello, Fellow Parent! My name is Katherine Endy and I'm a Family Life Coach for overwhelmed parents of young children.

I know that sounds great (and it is!) getting there wasn't exactly a joyride with unicorns, let me tell you that.

As a mom of 3, I know the challenges of trying to remain calm in the fact of tantrums, meltdowns, and daily life as a parent.

And just between me and you: before I learned all that I'm about to teach you, I've made both of these mistakes in the past...

The #1 Mistake Stressed Out Parents Keep Making:

When parents are stressed and overwhelmed, they double-down on the punishment because they don’t know what else to do. You feel helpless. And if you’re doing this, you risk raising a child who will hide their behavior instead of coming to you for help because they fear the consequences of being honest.

You already know that punishment does NOT work. If it did, you’d only have to do it once and you’d never see that “bad behavior” ever again!

Or worse! Mistake #2...

When punishment doesn’t work (remember: it doesn’t!), you go and ramp up the rewards (ahem, bribes!)

That’s like trying to fill a leaky bucket with more water!

If you're doing this, you risk raising a child who is dependent on rewards and praise in order to feel good about themselves and who will lack internal motivation.

But when you LEARN and MASTER the skills of managing defiance and impulsive tantrums by focusing on CONNECTION, you model emotion regulation and conflict resolution for your child.

"Sure, Katherine!" You may say. "But HOWWWW??"

No worries! I got you covered...

With Results Like These:

"I honestly have not had to 'manage' any behaviors this week!”

"The suggestions felt easy and doable!"

It’s No Wonder They’re RAVING About My Unique Approach To Conscious Parenting!

Do You Currently Suffer From ‘Frustrated Parent Syndrome?’

If you’re like most who have read this far, you’re starting to see the possibility of a lasting, trusting relationship with your child built on the way you parent them RIGHT NOW, while they’re little... but you probably imagine yourself getting frustrated the next time a tantrum erupts, asking yourself,

“How the heck am I supposed to get my kid to calm the F*@& down?!”

What do I even say? How do I even say it? And how do I make sure I say it in a way that won’t damage my relationship with my child in the long-run?! I know they need my help when they’re melting down, but I’m SO DANG TRIGGERED by their screaming and crying, I can’t even calm myself down!

It can be so daunting and intimidating that you avoid even trying to do it a better way. And I get it.

But here's a little parenting 'Insider Secret' for ya (from someone who’s been parenting for 15 years):

It’s not about your child’s behavior...

...and YOUR behavior!

No more overwhelm!

No more wondering if you’re screwing up your kid for life!

No more wasting time or money!

Imagine for just a moment...

that you could manage any child behavior situation without yelling or blowing your top.

... imagine you could create calm and peace in your home.

... you have the strategies for conscious, mindful parenting MASTERED in just a few days from RIGHT NOW!

And you already know once you have strategies for managing your own emotions and behavior so that you can be present for your child ... it’s done! You’ll have those tools for life! In fact, I (and my students) use these exact same strategies parenting our own kids! Wouldn't it great to have the tools you need to be the parent you want to be RIGHT NOW?!

Wouldn’t that be nice?

Well, you don’t have to “imagine” any longer. Because you can INSTANTLY go...

What's Inside the Calm, Confident & Conscious Parents Workshop Series?

Workshop #1

Understanding Your Child’s Brain So You Can More Effectively Manage their Behavior

Kids do some crazy things that sometimes make parents REALLY MAD or frustrated. The big mistake most parents make is thinking their child is acting that way on purpose.

Some parents even think their kid is TRYING to make them mad!
I’ll let you in on a little secret: they’re acting that way because of their brains! Little people have brains that are still developing and sometimes they actually cannot control their own behavior. (We have to help them.)
In this workshop, I will teach you:
➤ all about “brain states” and why they matter in parenting
➤ how to respond to your kid when they are in each brain state
➤ how to manage your child’s challenging behaviors more effectively

Workshop #2

How to Create Cooperation on Demand Using Connection (Not Coercion!)

In this workshop, I will show you EXACTLY how to get your kid to do what you want them to do, when you want them to do it, using connection instead of coercion. The big mistake parents are making is thinking they have to control their child’s behavior. When their child doesn’t do what they’re told the first time, parents resort to bribery, punishment, coercion, cajoling, or even just straight-up begging!
Parents hate to admit this, but they want kids to do what they’re told to do. They want their kids to “listen” (ahem…obey!) But they don’t want to be mean or scary or do something that will damage their relationship. I will teach you how to have both – a cooperative kid AND your relationship intact.
In this workshop, I will teach you to:
➤ check in with yourself
➤ check in with your child
➤ make a connection
➤ use the most effective tool for eliciting cooperation (play!)

Workshop #3

How to Manage Your Child’s Big Emotions without Losing Your Cool

I don’t have to tell you ‘cause you already know – little kids have BIG feelings! The big mistake most parents make is letting their own emotions get in the way. Parents often get triggered by their kid’s emotions because of something that happened to them when they were little kids.
In this workshop, I will teach you:
➤ how to stay in the present moment when your child has big feelings
➤ how to respond rather than react to your child’s emotional upset
➤ exactly what to say to maximize connection and eliminate shame

Workshop #4

How to Set Boundaries Without Blaming, Shaming, or Punishing

Being a calm & conscious parent does NOT mean being permissive or letting your kid run the show at home. (If this is happening – do not fear! I’ve got you covered.) Kids NEED boundaries. They push the limits because they want to know where the line is. And you have to show them.
Kids do best when they know what is expected of them. And you CAN set boundaries without blaming, shaming, or losing your cool.
In this workshop, I will teach you exactly how to:
➤ figure out what your boundaries are and how to talk about them
➤ set a boundary with your kid
➤ enforce the boundaries without using punishment or consequences

After completing the workshops...

"It has great strategies to help your toddler but also a lot of important tips and reminders for us as parents that our behavior really effects our little ones."

Liz, mom of a toddler

“This was an excellent jump start to regaining some sense of control when it comes to parenting. The suggestions felt easy and doable and her acknowledgement that not everything will work for every parent/child and would take time and effort, made me feel less like a failure when I didn’t immediately become Super Mom overnight.”

Alli, mom of 3 kids under 5

“This is Great, Katherine!

...But What IF I don’t have time for a parenting workshop?!”

This is about the time where you might be saying, “Yeah, Katherine, but I don’t have time to take a workshop. Shouldn’t I be focusing on my kids?" NO.

Most frustrated, stressed-out parents waste months - sometimes years! - trying to be the perfect parent by ignoring their own needs and emotions and relying on "quick fixes" to manage their kid's behavior because they are too exhausted and stressed to try something new. Sound familiar?

...but then your kid gets the worst version of you!

Every successful parent I’ve known always starts by putting their own oxygen mask on FIRST. If not, it’s an uphill battle trying to manage your kid’s behavior before you’ve learned to manage your own emotional state first.

It’s BACKWARDS To Focus on Your Kid’s Behavior BEFORE You Manage Yours.

"Wait, Katherine! are you saying these workshops don't just help me manage my kid's behavior, they help me manage MYSELF, too?!"

Yes. That's EXACTLY what I'm saying.  😎

Meet Katherine, The Family Life Coach

I’m a social worker, parenting educator, and coach, and a PhD candidate at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. My research focuses on parenting stress, mindfulness, self-compassion, and emotion regulation in parents of young children.

But, more importantly, I am a mom of 3 and I know the challenges of trying to remain calm in the fact of tantrums, meltdowns, and daily life as a parent. If you'd told me 10 years ago that I would not only BE a mindful parent, but would be researching and teaching mindful parenting, I would never have believed you. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and - yep! - I yelled at my kids a lot.

Although I’ve had many years of therapy, parenting classes, and hours and hours of meditation, it’s the simple day-to-day practices I teach in this program that helped me be the calm, confident, emotionally regulated parent that I am today. Don’t get me wrong - I still have my moments and no parent is perfect, but I now have the tools to get back to emotional balance when I start to lose my sh*t!

I am so excited to share with you what I have learned as a researcher and as a parent!

"After all the gentle parenting books I’d read, I was honestly shocked how much I learned from Katherine! One of the most helpful things being that she gave me the language to explain to my husband why our toddler has meltdowns and how to support him better. Since then, we’ve been able to sidestep tantrums WAY more often!”
